Honor of Kings Global Launch on June 20: How It Differs from Arena of Valor
Honor of Kings (HoK) is set to launch globally, including in Indonesia, on June 20, 2024. Developed by Level Infinite and TiMi Studios, this MOBA mobile game is ready to compete directly with Mobile Legends: Bang Bang in the mobile gaming market.
Honor of Kings vs. Arena of Valor
For mobile gamers, the name Honor of Kings may sound familiar. This game is essentially the global version of another popular MOBA, Arena of Valor.
In Indonesia, Arena of Valor is operated by Garena, while HoK is the original Chinese version of the game, published by Level Infinite. Although the two games share many similarities, the developers emphasize that both MOBAs are operated separately and have distinct experiences.
According to Level Infinite, “both games offer different gameplay, art style, and social interaction to cater to diverse gamers worldwide.”
What Players Can Expect
Honor of Kings is designed for a wide range of players, from beginners to professional MOBA gamers. Henry Li from Level Infinite stated:
“We believe HoK will deliver a fresh, unmatched mobile gaming experience, offering fair competitive play across many aspects.”
The global launch aims to provide players in each country with a unique MOBA mobile experience, setting it apart from existing games like Arena of Valor and Mobile Legends.
MOBA Mobile Competition Heats Up
With the arrival of Honor of Kings in Indonesia, the mobile MOBA scene is expected to become even more competitive. Will HoK surpass Arena of Valor or MLBB, which have been established in the region for years? Time will tell.
