Code Leaks Indicate Gemini and Spotify Integration

In the code, the term “robin” refers to Gemini, a name Google used before Gemini was officially called Gemini (formerly Bard).

First code snippet: Shows the phrase “Starting to play on Spotify”, indicating that users could play Spotify tracks directly via Gemini.
Second code snippet: Displays “Spotify requires sign in”, likely referring to users needing to log in to their Spotify accounts to use this feature.

This suggests that Spotify playback through Gemini will require account authentication, similar to other third-party integrations.

While the code indicates that the feature is under development, it is unlikely to be released immediately. Google appears to be running preliminary tests, and if successful, the Spotify extension could first appear in a beta testing phase before a stable release—potentially taking several months.
