Genshin Impact version 4.8 brings a host of exciting updates, including a vibrant summer map, seasonal events, and abundant rewards for players to enjoy.
The Magical World of Simulanka
Simulanka is a charming world filled with unique areas inhabited by origami creatures, gear figurines, and other magical beings.
"Players can explore beautiful landscapes, help solve crises, and uncover various truths and surprises in this magical world alongside Kirara, Nilou, Navia, and Wanderer," HoYoverse stated on Monday, July 8, 2024.
In Simulanka, players can participate in seasonal events and fun mini-games, such as balloon shooting in “Dusty Currents from the North” and crane machine challenges in “Flying Hat Tricks.”
Winners of these mini-games earn Starsail Coins, which can be used to redeem replicas in various styles and types.
Emilie Debuts in Genshin Impact 4.8
New Costumes for Kirara and Nilou
Kirara and Nilou will receive new costumes in this update. Players can invite Kirara to their party for free, accumulate “Excerpts of Bliss” by collecting “Jubilant Feathers”, and unlock “Fairytale Troves.”
Kirara’s new costume features a thief-themed design, while Nilou’s floral-inspired outfit will be available for a limited-time special price in the in-game store.
Introducing Emilie: New 5-Star Character
Emilie, the famous perfumer from Fontaine, arrives as a new 5-star character wielding a Polearm with the Dendro element.
She has a unique ability to deal significant damage to enemies with the Burning status, focusing on her combat style “Lumidouce Case,” which periodically deals Dendro DMG.
When enemies are burning, Lumidouce Case can be enhanced to deal greater DMG based on Emilie’s ATK, extending attack range and increasing attack speed.
Changes and Optimizations in Genshin Impact 4.8
Improved Gameplay Experience
HoYoverse has also optimized game systems for smoother play. The Talent Point system is improved, allowing players to claim Daily Mission rewards while storing points for later use.
The cooldown for World Bosses requiring 40 Original Resin has been reduced from 5 minutes to just 10 seconds, speeding up Resin use and long-term Talent Point conversion.
A new “Echo” feature adds unique trail effects to character movement while running, enhancing visual gameplay.
