Garena, the publisher of Call of Duty Mobile (CODM), has launched its first major update of 2024 through Season 1: Soldier’s Tale, bringing fresh content to kick off the year.

The new update includes a brand-new weapon, the Season 1 Battle Pass, and a lineup of special events starting Thursday, January 11, 2024.

According to Garena’s official announcement on Saturday (January 13, 2024), one of the most exciting additions in the CODM 2024 patch is the arrival of the LW3-Tundra sniper rifle.

Above-Average Combat Power

As the latest Modern Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle introduced this season, the LW3-Tundra comes with above-average performance.

It’s no surprise that the LW3-Tundra is expected to become one of the strongest sniper rifles in CODM.

Also known as the L96A1, this weapon boasts deadly stopping power, exceptional accuracy, and excellent mobility.

The LW3-Tundra can eliminate enemies with a single body shot and deals even greater damage when hitting headshots.

Battle Pass Season 1: Soldier’s Tale

This season’s Battle Pass adopts a “Fairy Tale” theme, bringing unique story elements and fantasy-style characters.

Players can unlock Epic characters such as:

• Death Angel Alice – Wonder Lost

• Cipher – Hatter’s Grin

• Daniel – Hangman

• Artery – Heartless Queen

• Talon – Mato Nui (via Ground Forces)

For weapons, the Season 1: Soldier’s Tale Battle Pass introduces the new LW3-Tundra with its Epic skin Red Queen’s Rebuke, along with:

• ICR-1 – Witch’s Gift

• S36 – Caterpillar’s Poetry

• Striker – Death Spiral

• QQ9 – Dragon’s Roar

• AGR 556 – Egg-Napper

Weapon Adjustments in CODM Season 1

To create a more challenging gameplay experience, several weapons have received buffs and adjustments. Some now hit harder, while others are tuned down for better balance. Below are the full Season 1 weapon changes:

Weapon Adjustments

• FFAR 1 (Adjusted) – Although known for its high fire rate, its close-range performance was lacking. This update boosts chest damage and reduces first-damage radius.

• Maddox (Buff) – The Echo Fire Mode attachment receives increased radius and improved ADS movement speed for better burst damage.

• Man-O-War (Buff) – The 30 & 35 Round Extended Mag attachments now offer better performance.

• Bruen MK9 (Buff) – Following the previous patch improvements, the 60 Round Mag attachment is further enhanced with better ADS movement speed.

• Dingo (Buff) – Given its slow mobility, Dingo now receives increased base movement speed and faster sprint speed.

Additional Weapon Buffs

• HDR (Buff) – Elevated base movement speed enhances its role as a top-tier sniper rifle.

• Echo (Buff) – Reduced vertical recoil and adjusted reload time for smoother handling.

• PPSh-41 (Buff) – Increased body damage multiplier to make this SMG more lethal.
