Edutech Platform Kahoot! Now Available in Indonesian
The popular edutech platform often used for brainstorming, Kahoot!, is now available in the Indonesian language.
Introducing Bahasa Indonesia on Kahoot! reflects the company’s commitment to delivering the best interactive learning experience for people from all walks of life.
This language localization, including the addition of Bahasa Indonesia, comes amid Kahoot!’s rapid growth as an education platform in the country.
Over the past 12 months, more than 15 million non-unique players in Indonesia have used Kahoot!, including 1.2 million students and over 115,000 teachers who have hosted learning sessions for their students on the platform.
Kahoot! CEO Eilert Hanoa said Indonesia is an important part of Kahoot!’s growth strategy—not only in Asia but also globally.
“We believe that bringing Kahoot! to Bahasa Indonesia will reach even more teachers, lecturers, students, workers, and anyone who wants to experience unlimited learning opportunities wherever they are in Indonesia,” said Eilert.
Furthermore, Kahoot!’s expansion aligns with the growing trend in education that focuses on boosting digital literacy and promoting innovative learning practices.
Kahoot! also enables users to design, create, and share educational content that is more culturally relevant for local communities.
First in Southeast Asia
The integration of Bahasa Indonesia on Kahoot! marks the platform’s first localized language in Southeast Asia and the fifth in Asia. Previously, Kahoot! was available in Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.
Kahoot! also offers a standalone app specifically for children called Kahoot! Kids, which is available for both iOS and Android users.
Designed for children aged 2 to 7, Kahoot! Kids is now also available in Bahasa Indonesia.
Through Kahoot! Kids, the company aims to foster stronger bonds between parents and children through game-based learning.
Looking ahead, Kahoot! will continue to innovate to support the improvement of education quality in Indonesia and strengthen its role as a trusted partner for teachers, students, and individuals seeking engaging and meaningful learning experiences.
