GameShark Makes a Comeback as Ai Shark, Now Powered by AI Images

For gamers from the 1990s and 2000s, the name GameShark is likely familiar.

For those who may not know, GameShark was once widely used by gamers to find cheats, unlock hidden content, or simply make video games easier to play.

As access to information became easier with the rise of the internet, demand for tools like GameShark declined—leading to a drop in its popularity.

Recently, however, Altec Lansing—the audio company that holds the original GameShark license—announced plans to revive GameShark, this time enhanced with artificial intelligence (AI).

As part of the revival, Altec Lansing is rebranding GameShark under a new name: Ai Shark.

“Formerly known as GameShark, Ai Shark aims to redefine the gaming landscape with revolutionary AI-enhanced technology,” the company said in a press release published on prweb.com, Friday (January 19, 2024).

The new software promises to elevate the gaming experience for casual and beginner players. Altec Lansing also plans to debut its latest offering during the 2024 holiday season.

Ai Shark will leverage XGPT technology and real-time TPU acceleration to enhance gameplay by providing personalized hints and support, helping players keep up with fast-paced and competitive games.

Unlike traditional cheat devices that manipulate hardware, load mods, or inject cheat codes, Ai Shark is designed specifically for casual gamers and focuses on support rather than game-breaking hacks.

Designed to Adapt to a Wide Range of Gaming Peripherals

Ai Shark is expected to help players improve their gameplay over time.

“By harnessing the power of AI, supercomputers, and our incredible team of coders, we aim to exceed GameShark’s legacy tenfold and redefine the global gaming landscape,” said Todd Hays, Founder of Ai Shark.

The software will also be compatible with various gaming peripherals, including keyboards, headsets, and gaming mice.

According to the announcement, Infinity Brands—the parent company of Altec Lansing—will also hold an investment stake in Ai Shark. The move was welcomed by Ike Franco, the company’s founder and CEO.

“Since 1927, we’ve always strived to pioneer innovation in the audio world, and our expansion into gaming follows that same spirit,” Franco said.
