Rockstar Games to Release GTA 6 Trailer in December 2023

Grand Theft Auto (GTA) 6 is finally about to be revealed—at least its first official trailer. The long-awaited game from U.S.-based developer Rockstar Games is now closer than ever to making its debut.

The announcement came directly from Rockstar’s official Instagram account, @rockstargames, on Wednesday, November 8, 2023.

According to the post, Rockstar confirmed that the first trailer for GTA 6 will be released in early December 2023, marking a major moment for fans who have waited years for the next entry in the iconic franchise.

Beyond this confirmation, Rockstar has not shared additional details—such as the exact release date of the trailer within December.

However, many speculate that the GTA 6 trailer could be showcased during The Game Awards on December 7. So far, Rockstar has not confirmed whether they will take part in the event.

Rumors surrounding GTA 6 have circulated ever since Grand Theft Auto V launched a decade ago.

In 2020, Kotaku reported that Rockstar was working to avoid rushed development cycles. Then, in 2022, the company officially stated that GTA 6 was in active development.

That same year, several early-development videos of GTA 6 leaked online—leading to the arrest of a young British hacker responsible for the cyberattack.

With this announcement, it’s likely that gamers will not get to play the new GTA until sometime next year or possibly 2025, especially since Rockstar is expected to deliver a larger-scale experience than GTA 5.
